The Equi’7 insect repellent collar is a natural treatment for ticks and other insects for Horses, Ponies, Donkey’s and miniatures. The collars blend of natural ingredients is designed and formulated to repel external parasites: flies, horse flies, botflies, blow flies, midges, mosquitoes and ticks.When placed around the neck after a few hours the active ingredients released from the collar onto the horse and migrate across the horse through the sebum covering the epidermis, this creates a repellent atmosphere that protects the horse and rider too.
The collar is effective for 3 to 5 weeks depending on climatic conditions, the warmer the temperature the more active ingredient is released.
The collar remains effective when the horse is wet or perspires.
If you have playful horses it’s a good idea to thread the ends thru a rubber band to provide additional fastening.
